Wings for Wheels (W4W) is a Christian ministry, based in Riga, for people with mobile disabilities in Latvia. It is part of the international organization YWAM (Youth With A Mission). We are challenging people with mobile disabilities to come out of their passive lifestyle and we show them that they are able to improve their quality of life. During the ministries’ five years of existence, our main focuses are: disability awareness, evangelism, Bible study, physiotherapy, counselling, networking and summer camps.
W4W is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated volunteer for a
FUNDRAISER position:
to help build sustainable fundraising for Wings for Wheels now and in the future.
Volunteer Job Description
• Developing fundraising strategies for W4W
• Networking and promoting W4W and its activities
• Developing relationships and fundraising opportunities
• Coordinating the annual funding proposal for the W4W summer camps
• Inspiring and motivating existing and potential supporters and volunteers
Candidate Requirements
• Active born-again Christian
• Commitment to work with and for people with mobile disabilities
• Sense of responsibility and capacity to work independently within a team
• Fluency in English and preferably also in Latvian
• Good communication, presentation, writing and sales skills
• Project writing skills
• Computer skills
• Internet availability
