Hello,
Greetings from Riga! We are doing well. Of course, I am personally in constant wait for spring (this usually starts in summer already 🙂 ). This year we have had lots of snow, but even the girls are asking lately: when will the snow melt at last? 🙂
Wings for Wheels
Wings for Wheels’ work has continued as usual. We are having regular small group meetings, team meetings, consultations, care home visits. We did have fellowship meeting celebrating International Disability Day in December. We used to have a fancy banquet in a restaurant, but this time it was an online gathering, as all our meetings lately. Read more here.
We have no idea if we can organize a (small) camp next summer. It will depend on the decisions of the Latvian government, and their plans for how and when the restrictions will be eased. At the moment, the camp could not happen, but we hope that the situation will change.
But at least we will have a seminar in March called „Angry Birds in My Head“. On March 2, we will speak of Critical Thinking, on March 9 we will have a seminar titled to Build Up, Not to Tear Down, on March 23, Healthy Lifestyle, on March 30, God in my Plans. It is something totally new and we are really excited.
Personal life
W4W continues, but we have slowly started to finish up here in Riga. We left YWAM Latvia in December together with many others. YWAM Latvia will go through major change, and it will be exciting to see what will become of it with the new leadership. We have both been involved here some way or other for over 20 years. It has been good, but it was time to move on.
Personally, we are doing well. If no one is in self-quarantine, then two of us enjoy kindergarten and one of us, school. Kaspar did graduate his massage course. I and Kaspar have continued our regular work, but restrictions have given us extra time. I have applied for remote work options in Estonia, but I have not yet got any positive responses. At least I have my CV up to date and I have learnt to write cover letters. We hope that if I would get a job, it would help the bank to give us credit for our house when we move. But let’s see what God has in His plans.
Our living place in Hiiumaa is still unknown. Our dream house might still be available, but we have been peeking into other ads, too. I try to keep our home website up to date. So here is more information.
This is all at the moment. I am not looking forward of packing and moving our home, but I do hope that we will have a place to move to in the summer. Please keep us in prayer.
Blessings,
Evelyn, Kaspars, Rasmus, Karola and Rebeka
