Whilst the bags from the previous camp \u2013 Challenge 8 was just unpacked and little bit of a breath was taken, the time had come for the next camp. If the Challenge is made to introduce Christ to those who does not know Him yet, then Morning Dew is a training camp <\/strong>for those who is willing to get a \u201cheavier food\u201d<\/strong>
\n\"group\"<\/a>
\nAlthough Wings for Wheels team was longing for a holiday after the tough season of work, we all felt that God still wants to do a lot, so we had to be ready expect and be blessed a lot. It seemed that the biggest challenge in Morning Dew was going to be the physical tiredness and the weather forecast \"Bonfire\"<\/a>which was predicted to be totally unappealing. However, as God remains faithful always,<\/strong> we just have to keep our faith solid and see what happens when we pray and trust. <\/p>\n

Morning Dew 2 took place in Liepupes district on 27th-30th of July<\/strong> in lovely guesthouse \u201dVecmuiza\u201d (\u201cOld manor\u201d). Team and assistants arrived a little bit earlier to get on with the last preparation works, and the participants soon followed \u2013 10 people<\/strong> from 4 regions of Latvia. Half of the participants had experienced the first Morning Dew, and this was first year for the other half.<\/p>\n

\"Rita<\/a>On the first evening, camp started with a cheerful game<\/strong> that introduced each to another and also \u201cdrawing of the angel\u201d<\/strong>. Each one had to draw a piece of paper which contained other participants name on it, and then \u2013 not revealing loud to whom one has become an angel \u2013 pray for him or her all camp long. Secret surprises to show the care was also encouraged. First day concluded at the campfire<\/strong> where we studied what it means to be disciple of Jesus Christ and how to make others into disciples.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every morning each had a chance to be a part of early worship<\/strong>, but 9am everybody had to take a part in morning exercises<\/strong>. After energizing stretches and moves, all stay together to silently read Bible<\/strong>, for 10 minutes concentrating on particular chapter of the New Testament and then talk it trough and share the verses that had spoken to each of one. Possibly, that for those who hadn\u2019t done that before, this was a good start to get it into the habit and start the day with Word of God and contemplation.<\/p>\n

On the second camp day we had a guest \u2013 Janis Sadovskis<\/strong>, pastor of Riga Evangelical Pentecostal church, and he shared a very inspiring teaching of how to apply the knowledge about God in daily life<\/strong>. His speech did not leave a single person unmoved and spoke to all of us. This also was a day when forecast was especially important for us, \"Baptism\"<\/a>and God blessed us with the most appropriate weather which we could ever expect for a hike to seaside!<\/strong> Although it is not easy to make 5 km on the forest walk if part of participants is on the wheelchair and also access to seaside was quite tricky, God gave us strength to get it done, and we all enjoyed the time till the depths of our hearths. Even more special this time was because the culmination of the time at the seaside was baptism<\/strong> of one of the participants who gave his life to Christ. It was a celebration to all of us!<\/p>\n

Evening came with rain, so we had to reschedule campfire and move inside. This night lecture was about Holy Spirit \u2013 his personality, gifts, and baptism.<\/strong> It was followed by praying for those participants, who wanted to receive Baptism by Holy Spirit. God\u2019s presence filled the atmosphere, and He touched each one of us, no matter whether or what we felt.<\/p>\n

\"Fun\"<\/a>Wednesday\u2019s lecture was special with that we were addressed by Bernadette Todd <\/strong>\u2013 a lecturer who even was not aware of speaking to us. Bernadette is a missionary born in Jamaica but now living in USA. We were listening to her life story trough video, and for each of us it once again was reminding that God is eager to save from despair and hopelessness<\/strong> and that He can miraculously use the people who give their life to Jesus.<\/p>\n

After the lunch we had time for contemplation<\/strong>, and each was given a chance to write a summary of the experience lived through the camp. Later followed entertainment<\/strong> – quiz and sports games, which brought happy laughter to all of us. Although rain did not allow us to go out on some moments, trying to keep us under the roof, evening still concluded at the campfire<\/strong>. Each participant was encouraged to share brief testimony of the revelations learned in the camp.<\/p>\n

So soon the last day on the camp \u2013 day of good by – had come. Before parting, we altogether prayed for each participant<\/strong> \u2013 for their particular needs and also for the Gods guidance and blessings in future, that dreams and good thoughts happens to be fulfilled and does not remain just wishful thinking.<\/p>\n

\"Prayer\"<\/a>Thank you all<\/strong> who supported us with prayer, finances, and practically! Wings for Wheels will start its work again in September, and we believe that God has prepared for us a lot of doors to open in our and in other people lives.<\/p>\n
