Greetings from Riga,<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"W4W\"<\/a>We had really good summer holiday<\/strong> on our home island at Hiiumaa, Estonia. After refreshing vacation we came back to Latvia to work in the world’s third largest country (if it were possible to gather all the disabled people in the world into one nation, that nation would be the world’s third largest country).<\/p>\n

Wings for Wheels<\/strong><\/p>\n

For Wings for Wheels autumn is a more peaceful time, when we have time to summarize work we have done this year and make the plans for coming year. Kaspar is continuing physiotherapy evangelism and also going once a week to the Latvian biggest rehabilitation centre for physiotherapy internship. Counselling, disability awareness for churches and small groups are also happening. We have just started new small group for Russian speakers, because our camps have been bilingual, but we have not done anything for Russian speaking people in regular basis. \"Handbook<\/a><\/p>\n

Our main focus during this autumn has been to prepare a manual\/handbook<\/strong> for churches, what contains information about people with disabilities situation, a short explanation of different disabilities and how to behave in contact with a person having a particular disability, as well as some practical advice on how to promote people with disability and introduction in church. The info booklet is 32 pages and we intend to release and distribute 500 copies to Latvian churches. If you would like to be part of this project, please contact us and we give you more information of manual context and cost. <\/p>\n

New Challenges<\/strong><\/p>\n

In relation to the changes in YWAM Riga we both have new assignments. We will continue to run Wings for Wheels, but starting from this autumn, Kaspar is also in YWAM Riga leadership team<\/strong> and Evelyn is YWAM Riga Accountant<\/strong> (or more correctly saying \u2013 person who is paying bills and have eye on finances, because official work is done by accounting company we are hiring).

\nPersonal News<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rasmus:<\/strong> I go to a small and a large nursery. I am familiar with the aunts and kids in a small nursery, but my best friend flew in a plane to Canada. Soon I will go only to the big one. At the beginning I did not have any friends there, but now I have friends. I like to sing and talk with Jesus. I did pray in summer that I would get Lightning McQueen car and soon grandmother gifted it to me.<\/p>\n

Next year April we will have tenth wedding anniversary<\/strong>. At 2003 when we got married, we were not financially able to go for honeymoon. Throughout these ten years we have been travelling a bit, but we have not had holiday trip in classical meaning. During the next year we hope to fix it and to go just two of us for a week to rest. At the moment we are not 100% sure where it will be, but are dreaming of one Asian country\u2026<\/p>\n
