[:en]Greetings from Riga where everything is blooming! <\/strong><\/p>\n

In Latvia spring<\/strong> is the time when everything and everybody are waking up. Everything is green and blooming. People look happier and are smiling more (it is not usual in Latvia to smile for a stranger). Not everybody is wearing black anymore \u2013 it is possible to see even colours\u2026 <\/p>\n

\"RasmusFor Kaspar <\/strong>this spring is really busy and difficult time, because he has to pass four major exams and to write 300 pages long practise overview and 60 pages long graduation paper. He has finished his written works, but exams are still underway.
\n
\nRasmus<\/strong> is not a baby anymore even that he still goes to baby-school. He likes animals (especially cats and dogs), to solve jigsaw puzzles, to line up his car collection, to jump on trampoline, to play in play-grounds, to run, to copy us with everything. He has is opinion of everything even that mostly we still do not understand, because he is still using \u201chis language\u201d mixed with some Estonian and Latvian. <\/p>\n

I (Evelyn) got accepted to Asian country seminar<\/strong> what will take place in Sweden from August 27th to September 9th. We already have one fifth of finances for this seminar. We still do not have any idea can we go to Spain in November and join Strategic Leadership Course<\/strong>, because at the moment our applications are not yet accepted and we have no money for this at all. This year has been financially difficult for us and your prayers are really appreciated.<\/p>\n

\u201eChallenge 4\u201c\u2013 summer camp for people with physical disabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is \u201cChallenge 4\u201d planned to happen at 2-9 of July, 2011<\/strong> in new location \u2013 Raiskums Boarding school<\/strong> (northeast of Latvia, close to Cesis). This place will be much more comfortable for participants, because there will be smaller rooms to live in, beds to sleep at, accessible showers to wash at, countryside to breath fresh air. All essential things, but last years we did not have these. This year as well we do not need to worry about food and cleaning, because school will provide it for us. Of course we will not be in our familiar area and will not be able to provide same activities (for example rope course), but we will try to get some other challenging activities (like boat ride etc). <\/p>\n

There are already 22 participants<\/strong> applied and together with personal assistants and staff we already have 44 people. There are only few places left. Camp participants will be Latvian and Russian speaking, wheelchair users and independent walkers, blinds and with good eye sights, able to speak very clearly or not so well. We will have also new staff to join us and all of this is making this year camp already \"Ropechallenging. Challenge is getting even greater when we are looking into financial needs<\/strong> \u2013 we need to pay for food and housing 3500Ls (~7000$ or ~5000\u20ac) and we need for transport and extra activities 1000Ls more. If we will count together all the potential supports we hope to get from local churches, businessmen, from last year camp left over money and from participants\u2019 fees we will have ~1000Ls and so the biggest part is still missing. It would be really sad to cancel the camp because of lack of finances. For many of participants it is only time in year when they are getting out of home, will meet other people and breath fresh air. <\/p>\n

Please pray<\/strong> for camp finances and if you are able to support it even with small amount, it would be really helpful. I and Kaspars are good with practical part of this camp(s), but we do not seem to be good fundraisers. We even have no idea where to send projects to. If you have skills in this area and would like to help us with this for this year camp or for next camp(s), please let us know. It would be really appreciated!<\/p>\n

Riias on k\u00f5ik pargid rohelised ja sirelid hakkavad l\u00e4bi \u00f5itsema. Oleme saanud kevadet nautida juba m\u00f5nda aega, aga eile oli meil juba suviselt palav ning termomeeter n\u00e4itas peaaegu 30C.<\/p>\n

\"RasmusKasparil<\/strong> on see kevad olnud v\u00e4ga pingeline, kuna ta pidi kirjutama 300 lehek\u00fcljelise praktika aruande ning 60 lehek\u00fcljelise diplomit\u00f6\u00f6 turisminduses. Sellele lisaks on tal veel kolm eksamit ning kaks nendest on kogu viie aasta materjali peale. \u00dcks eksam on juba edukalt tehtud ning diplomit\u00f6\u00f6 kaitstud. J\u00e4\u00e4nud on veel kehakultuuri ja f\u00fcsioteraapia l\u00f5pueksamid ning siis saab l\u00f5puks Kasparil kool l\u00e4bi.<\/p>\n

Kuigi Rasmus<\/strong> k\u00e4ib veel beebikoolis on ta juba beebieast v\u00e4lja kasvanud. Tema lemmiktegevusteks on autode ritta panemine, puzzlede kokkupanek, m\u00e4nguv\u00e4ljakul turnimine, jooksmine, batuudil h\u00fcppamine ja loomade vaatamine\/paitamine (erilised lemmikud on kassid ja koerad). Kuigi tema keel on suures osas ikka veel \u201erasmuse keel\u201c, omab ta igas k\u00fcsimuses oma arvamust ja teeb selle ka k\u00f5igile teatavaks. <\/p>\n

Mind on ametlikult vastu v\u00f5etud kommunistliku Aasia riigi seminarile<\/strong> Rootsis, mis toimub 27. augustist 9. septembrini. Pool seminari maksumusest on meil juba olemas ning loodame, et saame kokku ka teise poole rahast ja reisiraha. Novembris toimuvale strateegilise juhtimise kursusele<\/strong> Hispaanias pole meil veel ei finantse ega ka teadet kas oleme seminarile vastu v\u00f5etud. See aasta on olnud meile finantsiliselt v\u00e4ga raske. Oleme v\u00e4ga t\u00e4nulikud palvete ja toetuste eest. Rohkem v\u00f5imalusi meie t\u00f6\u00f6le kaasa aidata leiab siit.<\/a> <\/p>\n

\u201eChallenge 4\u201c (v\u00e4ljakutse) \u2013 suvelaager liikumispuuetega inimestele<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sellel aastal toimub \u201eChallenge\u201c laager 2.-9. juulini<\/strong> uues asukohas – Raiskumsi eriinternaatkoolis<\/strong> (Cesise l\u00e4hedal). Seal on laagrilistele on v\u00e4iksemad toad, voodid, korralikud du\u0161\u0161iruumid ning v\u00f5imalus olla piiramatult v\u00e4rskes \u00f5hus. K\u00f5ik see on ju tegelikult h\u00e4davajalik, kuid eelmistel aastatel seda me kahjuks pakkuda ei saanud. Sel aastal ei pea me ka muretsema toiduvalmistamise p\u00e4rast, sest see on juba hinna sees. Samas pakub uus koht ka v\u00e4ljakutset (muidu ei oleks ju laagril \u00f5ige nimi \ud83d\ude09 ) \u2013 meie jaoks on see kant suhteliselt tundmatu ning mitmeid traditsioonilisi tegevusi ei ole v\u00f5imalik seal l\u00e4bi viia (n\u00e4iteks seiklusrada). Samas p\u00fc\u00fcame leida v\u00f5imalusi uute tegevuste jaoks (nagu n\u00e4iteks parves\u00f5it). <\/p>\n

Juba 22 laagrilist<\/strong> on oma ankeedid saatnud ning soovivad laagrisse tulla. Koos personaliga on meil momendil kokku 44 inimest ning vaid m\u00f5ned vabad kohad on j\u00e4\u00e4nud. Laagriliste hulgas on nii l\u00e4ti kui vene keelt k\u00f5nelejad, nii ratastooli kasutajaid kui ka iseseisvalt k\u00f5ndijaid, pimedaid ja hea n\u00e4gemisega, k\u00f5neraskustega ja vabalt k\u00f5nelejaid ning vanale karastunud personalile lisaks on meil ka t\u00e4iesti uusi abilisi \u2013 see k\u00f5ik teeb laagri ettevalmistuse keerukaks. K\u00f5ige suuremaks v\u00e4ljakutseks on meie laagri finantsiline olukord<\/strong>. 27. juuniks tuleb meil maksta elamise ja toidu eest 3500Ls (5000\u20ac) ning sellele lisaks vajame transpordi ja muu tegevuse jaoks umbes 1000Ls (~1430\u20ac). Kui me liidame kokku osav\u00f5tu maksu, juba olemas oleva raha ning loodetava raha kohalikelt kogudustelt ja \u00e4rimeestelt, saame kokku ~1500Ls (~2140\u20ac). Kui me 27.juuniks kogu 3500Ls \u00e4ra ei maksa, siis ei saa me Raiskumsis laagrit l\u00e4bi viia. Sellest \"Seiklusrada\"oleks v\u00e4ga kahju, sest paljude laagriliste jaoks on see laager aastas ainsaks korraks kodust v\u00e4lja saada, teiste inimestega kohtuda ning v\u00e4rskes \u00f5hus viibida. <\/p>\n

Palun palveta<\/strong> laagri finantside eest ja kui Sa oled v\u00f5imeline v\u00e4ikese summaga seda toetama, siis palun v\u00f5ta meiega \u00fchendust. Mina ja Kaspar oleme m\u00f5istnud, et meile ei valmista probleeme praktiline t\u00f6\u00f6 ja laagri programmi ettevalmistamine, aga meie raskuseks on rahaliste vahendite leidmine. Me ei ole isegi leidnud kohta, kuhu v\u00f5iksime raha k\u00fcsimiseks saata projekti. Kui Sa oled just sel alal andekas ning soovid meid selle aasta v\u00f5i j\u00e4rgmise aasta laagri finantside leidmisel aidata, siis palun anna endast teada. See oleks meie t\u00f6\u00f6le v\u00e4ga suureks abiks. <\/p>\n
